1. About this site
VEX Ontario (vexontario.ca, the "Site") is a public archive of Ontario VEX Robotics Competition award records, operated by the CanSTEAM Foundation ("we," "us"). The Site is provided as a community resource at no cost.
2. Use of the Site
You may read, reference, and cite the records on the Site for personal, educational, and journalistic purposes. Please do not:
- Scrape the Site in ways that place undue load on the server or bypass rate limits.
- Republish significant portions of the archive without attribution to VEX Ontario.
- Misrepresent information on the Site as issued directly by VEX Robotics or the REC Foundation.
- Use the Site as a channel to contact or harass individual teams, students, or coaches.
3. Accuracy of information
We make a best effort to reflect official results as reported by RobotEvents.com and Ontario event hosts. Records may contain errors or omissions, and event outcomes are occasionally corrected after publication. The Site is provided on an "as is" basis, without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
If you believe an entry on this Site is incorrect, contact us at info@cansteam.org and we will review.
4. Trademarks
VEX, VEX Robotics, V5RC, VIQRC, and related marks are the property of Innovation First, Inc. and/or the Recreation Education Council ("REC Foundation"). This Site is an independent community archive and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by VEX Robotics or the REC Foundation.
References to Ontario are geographic. This Site is not an official publication of the Government of Ontario.
5. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party services — YouTube, Google Maps, Google Forms, RobotEvents, and payment providers. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those services.
6. Sponsorship pages
Pages offering sponsorship packages describe community events operated by Ontario VEX teams or event hosts. Agreements between sponsors and event operators are between those parties and are not contracts with CanSTEAM Foundation unless a package expressly names CanSTEAM Foundation as the counterparty.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
